CHELTENHAM ROAD OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH SERVICE

Dr Christopher Champion and Dr Lindsay Roberts run the Occupational Health Service at Cheltenham Road Surgery. The practice has been involved in occupational health since 1985. Both Doctors hold the D.Occ.Med. (Diploma in Occupational Health). Dr Champion has attended a faculty approved course for conducting Tier 3 and 4 HAVS assessments.

We do not have access to the “Standardised tests” for vibrotactile and temperature threshold but have all the other equipment including the Purdue pegboard, hand grip dynamometer and Semmes-Weinstein equipment. Our HAVS reports would therefore not be for medico-legal purposes but would be used to advise on diagnosis and an employee’s suitability to use of vibrating tools.
